In an Emergency

In the case of an emergency, phone your regular veterinarian. If he or she is unavailable, call the After Hours Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Fairbanks. Our staff will help you decide the best method for addressing the situation.

What to Do in an Emergency:

  • Remain calm
  • Do not attempt home remedies or medications
  • Call our animal hospital
  • Discuss the emergency with our staff
  • Be cautious when handling injured pets; animals often bite when afraid or in pain.

Please call before coming to our clinic. This will enable our staff to be as prepared as possible for your animal's specific illness or injury. We may also be able to suggest immediate first-aid measures you can take to aid your pet, and provide detailed directions to our clinic.

Payment Policy

After a physical exam of your pet is performed, we will provide a written estimate of costs prior to diagnostics and/or treatment of your pet. All services rendered are expected to be paid at the time of service. Payment is accepted via cash, debit card, all major credit cards, and CareCredit.

If you have pet insurance, you are expected to pay out of pocket at the time of services and if there is any claim paperwork that needs to be filled out by the veterinarian, please bring those documents with you or drop them off at a later time.

Minors are not allowed to sign for an animal and must have someone over the age of 18 to complete the necessary paperwork and sign the cost estimates.

My client’s Huskies got into a porcupine and they got them in quickly and got to work. They gave an estimate before they got started which was good because it was not a surprise bill or anything. They were very efficient in the treatment and procedures for the dogs. I am happy with how everything worked out that day after walking into work and seeing such a horrible sight and 2 hurting dogs.

An excellent veterinary clinic. Everyone with whom I’ve dealt with has been very talented, gentle, compassionate, and caring. We have taken all 3 of our dogs there at various times of need. I prefer going there not only for their experience but for the calm and private atmosphere. Our most recent visit was on Sunday when we had to euthanize our German Shepard- and I cannot thank the staff enough for their thoughtfulness, kindness, and gentle touch given to both us and our beloved pet. A huge thank you and much gratitude for your help.

Called with an er, no line, got right in. Very kind, caring, patient staff. They were calm which helped me calm down. Thorough explanation of what they were doing, gave an appropriate estimate, been here several times with different dogs, always same experience.

I have had two unfortunate occasions with my rotties that needed after hours attention and this place was friendly, passionate, and overall supportive with options. The Staff and overall experience was professional, but family inviting. Thank You!
